Melenau Lino (SWiS) Onehunga HUB

My name is Melenau Lino and I am the Social Worker in School (SWiS) assigned to St Joseph’s School and Marcellin College. I am of Tongan descent. I was born in Tonga and migrated to New Zealand when I was 12yrs old. My family have lived in the Onehunga area since then. I attended Onehunga High School and studied at Manukau Institute of Technology to gain my Bachelor of Applied Social Work in 2017 and a Post Grad Certificate in Cross Cultural Supervision this year. I have 2 children aged 12 and 13.
I am thrilled and excited to be working in your school to ensure our young people and their families find solutions to issues that impact on their education, well-being and rights as children and young people.
Feel free to say Hey when you see me around or you can always knock on my door if you want to have a chat about ANYTHING! I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks and months.
Tu’a ‘Ofa ‘Eiki Atu
